ITALY - Sicily
Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is separated from mainland by the narrow Strait of Messina. Sicily is a rugged and attractive island on the southern tip of Italy and It can get very hot during the summer, so it is better to visit during spring and autumn. Nature seems to have endowed all its wonders to this island : mountains, hills and above all the sea, with its incredible colors, its crystal-clear water and the beauty of its seabeds, in no way inferior to those of other seas.
Sicily is rich in UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Agrigente, Syracuse, the Late Baroque cities of the Noto Valley, and the Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina.
