The Parc national des Cévennes (Cévennes National Park) is situated in the mountainous area of Cévennes and is shared between 4 départements : Lozère, Gard, Ardèche and Aveyron. The park includes several mountains and plateaus, including: Mont Lozère, Mont Aigoual, Causse Méjean.
The Causses and the Cévennes have been inscribed on the World Heritage List as Mediterranean agro-pastoral cultural landscape in 2011. These exceptional landscapes, shaped by men for millenia, have been recognised for their outstanding value
