USA - HAWAII - Big Island - Oahu

- Honolulu

Hawaii is one of the youngest geological formations in the world with some of the world's most active volcanoes and the world's tallest sea mountain. The island official name is Hawaii but is named Big Island to reduce confusion between the island and the state. Big Island is the largest and the southeastern-most of the Hawaiian islands. With an area of 4,028 square miles (10,430 km2), it is larger than all of the other islands in the archipelago combined and is the largest island in the United States.
Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park protects some of the most unique geological, biological, and cherished cultural landscapes in the world. Extending from sea level to 13,680 feet, the park encompasses the summits of two of the world's most active volcanoes - Kīlauea and Mauna Loa - and is a designated International Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
