Philadelphia, also called Philly, is located  at the confluence of the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers and the former capital of United States while Washington, D.C., was under construction. In the 19th century, Philadelphia plays an exemplary role in the history and life of the nation.The city is notable for its colonial legacy, its rich history on display at the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed) and other American Revolutionary sites.
