MEXICO - Puebla

The city of Puebla known in Spanish as Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, is the capital and largest city of the state of Puebla. In colonial time, it was the second largest in colonial Mexico and the richest Catholic diocese. Puebla is located in (southern) Central Mexico on the main route between the capital, Mexico City, and Mexico's main Atlantic port, Veracruz - about 100 km east southeast of Mexico City by highway.  Due to its history and architectural styles ranging from Renaissance to Mexican Baroque, the city was named a World Heritage Site in 1987.
The city was founded in 1531 and it is now the fourth largest city in Mexico, it has a current population of 3,500,000 people, and the city serves as one of the main hubs for eastern Central Mexico. It is a very charming city, specially the historic center and its old spanish churches and buildings.
