Iquitos has no roads connecting to other cities making it the largest and most isolated city on any continent. The best way to reach Iquitos is to fly. Your first impression of Iquitos is the warm, oxygen rich, moist air. Your second perception will be the noise and the restlessness of thousands of motorcycles and three wheel rickshaws called moto-kars maneuvering for position on the streets.
Iquitos is the door to Amazonia in Peru and you will probably join a cruise or a lodge in the wilderness.
