COLOMBIA - MEDELLIN
Medellin is settled within the Aburrá Valley at an elevation of 1,538 meters and is the second largest city in Colombia.
The cultural and artistic legacy donated by Antioquian artist Fernando Botero can be seen by all visitors to Medellín. The Parque de las Esculturas, or Botero Plaza is located in one of the most characteristic and traditional areas of the city. This privileged location not only turns it into an art and cultural epicenter, but also makes it a must-see spot for all tourists and visitors to the city.
Medellin is also known for its famous citizen Pablo Escobar, the most notorious drug lord dead in 1993, and also a subject of a Botero painting at Antoquia Museum.
