BONAIRE (Netherlands)
Located 80 kilometers north of Venezuela in the warm waters of the southern Caribbean, Bonaire is a special municipality within the country of the Netherlands and Kralendijk is the capital city and main port of the island.
Bonaire is primarily known as a diver’s paradise, because of the perfect conditions for shore diving. But it’s just as popular with windsurfers, kiteboarders and sailing enthusiasts. And this also applies to rest-seekers and nature lovers.
Throughout Bonaire’s elevated northern end, visitors can see a desertic landscape : rocky with many cactus species : reminiscent of the American southwest.
