Chordeleg and Gualeceo
Gualaceo is known for weaving, Chordeleg is known for silver and jewelry, and Sig Sig is known for producing Panama hats but shops are selling a wider collection of items. Getting there takes around one hour, crossing hills and rolling down into a lush green valley. Gualeco and Chordeleg are picturesque towns separated by 5 kms. Chordeleg is one of the towns that still adheres to the guild system established during Spanish colonial times for metalwork. Today silversmiths and jewelers are producing silver, nickel, and brass items.
