​Plymouth is a vibrant city on the south coast of Devon and is the place from where Sir Francis Drake sailed, from where the Pilgrim Fathers departed to settle the New World (the Mayflower Steps) in 1620.
Plymouth is a city shaped by the fortunes of sea, trade and war, nowhere more so than in the historic Barbican. Plymouth's delightful old port, full of narrow cobbled streets, Elizabethan warehouses, art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
