Rye - Battle

Rye is a charming small town in East Sussex located two miles from the sea at the confluence of three rivers: the Rother, the Tillingham and the Brede. In medieval times, as an important member of the Cinque Ports confederation, it was at the head of an embayment of the English Channel, and almost entirely surrounded by the sea. Those historic roots and its charm make it a tourist destination, with hotels, guest houses, tea rooms, and restaurants.
Battle is a small town and civil parish in East Sussex, England. It lies few miles from Hastings. Battle is a tourist destination as it is the site of the famous Battle of Hastings, where William, Duke of Normandy (France), defeated King Harold II to become William I in 1066, changing the history forever.
