Arsemia - Gerger - Kahta
According to some sources, in the first half of the 6th Century BCE, during the reign of King Seleucus Arsemes, a city named Arsemia (or Arsemeia) was built on the Euphrates. Arsemia, once the summer residence of the Commagene kings. At the foot of this ancient city there is a magnificent relief representing Heracles shaking hands with King Mithridates of Commagene from around 50 BC and next to it is located the greatest Greek inscription of Anatolia.
The ruins of medieval fortress, called Yeni Kale (New Castle), you can find on the top of rock cliff above small village Kocahisar.
