SLOVAKIA - Kezmarok

Kezmarok in region Spis is one of towns with the long and famous history and the starting point for trips in the High Tatras. Its position below the Tatras makes it one of the centres of both the summer and winter holiday. The pride of Kezmarok is the Protestant wooden articled church. This Protestant church was built in 1717 with yew and red spruce wood  without using a single metal component. The Baroque interior of the church is also made of wood and the church organ has also wooden pipes.
You might also visit the Kezmarsky Castle (hrad) gained with its contemporary Renaissance form after extensive rebuilding in the years 1572-1624 and the Basilica of the Holy Cross (built in the 14th century).
