Transylvania is a historical region in the central part of the country. Bounded on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended in the west to the Apuseni Mountains.
Sibiu is a town in southern Transylvania and its historical centre has been recently renovated in 2006 and looks spectacular.
Brasov provides a mix of wonderful mountain scenery and a medieval old town with German influences.
Bran Castle (also known as Dracula’s Castle), built in 1377 is a very popular destination.
