Worldwide known as a sacred island for it is the place where Saint John wrote the Book of Revelation, Patmos is an ideal destination for nature and culture lovers. Designated as “Holy Island” by the Greek Parliament in 1981.
The Monastery of Saint John the Theologian (also called Monastery of Saint John the Divine) is a Greek Orthodox monastery founded in 1088 in Chora (or Hora). UNESCO has declared it a World Heritage site.
