Caucasus Mountains
Greater Caucasus range stretches along the northern Georgia at the russian border. Racha Region is known for its snow-capped Caucasus Montains, the fast rivers and valleys.
Kazbegi region is also famous with the Georgian Military Road which runs between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia) and follows the traditional route used by invaders and traders throughout the ages.The Georgian part is beautiful.
Mestia is a townlet in Upper Svaneti famous for its "Svans defensive towers".
