Filitosa Magalithic site
Filitosa is a megalithic site in southern Corsica (around 20 kms of Propriano) and is must see site for culture lovers. The period of occupation spans from the end of the Neolithic era and the beginning of the Bronze Age, until around the Roman times. The site of Filitosa is located in an ancient olive grove and cattle is grazing on the site. There is a central monument at the top a small hill with statues. Then you can enjoy a view down the hill to a stone alignment of five megaliths, set around the base of a 2000-year-old olive tree. Behind the olive tree is the quarry, where the megaliths were extracted from.
Propriano might be a good location for your hotel or relax on the beach.
