​Helsingor, often known in English-speaking countries as Elsinore, is a city on the northeast coast of the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark.
Kronborg Castle, the famous ‘Hamlet’s Castle’, in Elsinore is a world heritage site with soaring towers, a huge banqueting hall and damp casemates.
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is an art museum located directly on the shore of the Oresund Sound in Humlebæk, 15 kms of Elsinore (Helsingor). It is the most visited art museum in Denmark with an extensive permanent collection of modern and contemporary art and also a comprehensive programme of special exhibitions.
