BOSNIA and HERZEGOVINA
MOSTAR
Mostar is a small town famous for its Ottoman style Old Bridge (Stari Most) between the Muslim and Croatian part of the city. It is not only gorgeous but also very rich in history, because of its ethnic diversity, as Croatian, Muslim and Serbian people share the city.
The old Bridge (Stari Most) is a reconstruction of a 16th-century Ottoman bridge that crosses the river Neretva. The Old Bridge stood for 427 years, until it was destroyed in November 1993 by Croat forces during the Croat–Bosniak War.
