AUSTRIA - Tirol (or Tyrol)

​Tirol (or Tyrol) is located in the Heart of the Alps between Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the Austrian region of Salzburg. Once known as The Land of the Mountains, Tirol is a wonderland of gushing rivers, lush meadows and rugged peaks. Fantastic hiking trails wind along paths through the Alps.
Innsbruck is particularly attractive for lovers of culture, sports enthusiasts, couples, solo travellers and families. What about an excursion to the magnificent Goldenes Dachl, the imperial castle Hofburg, the cozy street Maria-Theresien-Straße or other remarkable sites (see our Innsbruck page)?
