MALAYSIA - Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru is the state capital of Johor in southern peninsular Malaysia, just across the causeway from Singapore. It's a bustling city and a significant regional transport and manufacturing hub.
Johor Bahru was founded in 1855 as Iskandar Puteri when the Sultanate of Johor came under the influence of Temenggong Daeng Ibrahim. The area was renamed "Johore Bahru" in 1862 and became the capital of the Sultanate.
The Grand Palace is one of the historical attractions in the city, and is an example of Victorian-style architecture with a garden. Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, located along Skudai Road, is the main and the oldest mosque in the state. Today, Johor state is still a Sultanate.
