In the Sunderbans area at the forefront of climate change and rising sea levels, governments and villages lead a permanent fight against coastal erosion, the annual floods and cyclones. About 5,000 people frequent the swamps and waterways of the Sundarbans and fishing boats traverse the area and many stop to collect firewood, honey and other items. The tigers of Sunderbans are known to be mostly man eaters- mainly because of the lack of other suitable prey in the area.
