INDIA - Rajasthan - Ranakpur

Ranakpur is a village located in Desuri tehsil near Sadri town on a small scenic road between Jodhpur and Udaipur.
The Ranakpur temple is one of the five holy places of the Jain community and were built in the 15th century AD.  It is a very big temple (ceiling around 7m high), constructed of white marble with beautiful sculptures. The exterior is also striking. It has approximately 1440 exquisitely carved white marble columns, none of which are alike. It is now a major tourist attraction visited interested in heritage and architecture.
