​The most famous market in Kunming 'flower and bird market'.   It's the right place to purchase pets : cute little puppy dogs, cats, live crickets, birds, live bird food, tortoises, fishes, frogs, snakes, lezards, snails and more.. You can also find flowers and a tourist market around.

The most obvious stalls begin where Wuyi Road meets Dongfeng West Road but other sellers can be found on other streets within the district.

Few streets of the "old Kunming" survived around to the bing bang of the chinese new economy and some old houses are now refurbished.
