Plymouth (or Plimoth which is the old spelling) was the landing place of the Mayflower and its Pilgrims arriving from England in 1620, it was among the earliest settlements of Europeans in North America. Half the original colonists died during the first winter.
Plimoth Plantation is an historical educational site including a 1627 living history reenactment of early colonial life where one can interact with colonists (actors) who stay in character.
