Gaspésie
The Gaspésie (or Gaspé Peninsula), is a large peninsula along the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River to the east of the Matapédia Valley that extends into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The Gaspé Peninsula is slightly larger than Belgium, at 31,077 square kilometres (11,999 sq mi) and its population is around 150,000.
Percé is a small city near the tip of the Gaspésie and a touristic location particularly well known for the attractions of Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island.
