MOROCCO - Atlas Mountains Ouarzazate

Ouarzazate is situated at an elevation of 1,136 metres and was a crossroad for African traders seeking to reach northern cities in Morocco and Europe.
Ouarzazate’s region is one of Morocco’s regions with more destinations and sightseeing visit places around. The Atlas Mountains were mainly inhabited by Berber populations long before the installation of the Arabs.
The Dades Valley is dry and lined with kasbahs and unique fortified villages. The Todra Gorge has cliffs which can be 300m high. The Draa Valley extends for almost 200km towards the South irrigates a narrow oasis where henna and dates grow.
Merzouga is known for its proximity to Erg Chebbi, a Saharan erg with magnificent sand dunes, and it is for this reason a part of the itineraries of many tourists visiting Morocco.
