Rwanda is a landlocked country in Central and East Africa and is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rwanda is in the African Great Lakes region and is highly elevated; its geography is dominated by mountains in the west and savanna to the east, with numerous lakes throughout the country. Rwanda is also called the "land of a thousand hills," a direct translation from the French "Pays des Mille Collines," is an apt description for the verdant country of Rwanda.
Rwanda is famous for the Volcanoes National Park and its Mountains Gorillas.
Be aware that the Gorillas permit is very expensive, 1500 USD for 1 trek to the mountain with or without gorillas sight, and even to see others monkeys you will have to pay between 60-100 USD (rates 2017).
